International Engagements and Key Contributions
1. Microfinance in Bangladesh (May 2009)
As a resource person, Dr. Chatterjee delivered a talk on microfinance at the Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) in Bangladesh. CIRDAP is an intergovernmental organization focused on rural development and poverty alleviation across Asia and the Pacific.
2. Afghanistan Government Training (August 2010 & July 2015)
Dr. Chatterjee was invited to Kabul, Afghanistan, where he conducted a series of training programs on Planning, Implementation, Monitoring, and Evaluation for Afghan government officials. His expertise was highly valued, and he returned for a second visit in July 2015.
3. National Seminar on Millennium Development Goals (March 2013)
He delivered the keynote address at the Gandhigram Rural Institute, Tamil Nadu, during the National Seminar on Millennium Development Goals. The institute, founded on Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of Nai Talim, has made significant contributions to rural higher education since its inception.
4. International Workshop in Peru (May 2013)
Dr. Chatterjee participated in the ELLA-Learning Alliance on Small-Scale Farming in Peru, presenting a case study on Pragathibandhu Group (a farmer’s group from Karnataka). His presentation was well-received by the Agriculture Minister of Peru, who appreciated his work.
5. International Workshop in Bali, Indonesia (November 2013)
In Bali, Dr. Chatterjee attended a Small and Medium Enterprises workshop, sharing insights from his extensive research and case studies.
6. External Evaluator at TISS (April 2014)
As an external evaluator, Dr. Chatterjee assessed a program at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), an institution known for its contribution to social sciences and human rights education.
7. International Conference in Malaysia (August 2014)
Dr. Chatterjee presented a research paper on “Managing Rural Change in a Turbulent World” at the 5th International Conference and Field Study in Malaysia, receiving recognition from international academics.
